Architecture & Urban Studies Architecture

1) Min 2.5 GPA in all courses prior to ARCH 1015.
2) Application to Summer Qualifying Design Lab; Interview for Summer Qualifying Design Lab
3) Faculty Review of Summer Work and 3.5 min in Lab for admission to 2nd Yr Lab
4) Faculty Review of Summer Work and < 3.5 and >2.0 min in Lab for admission to 1st Yr Lab

Spring 2012

Art and Art History (Visual Communication Design; Studio Art)

1) Portfolio.
2) Faculty Portfolio review
3) Completion of all prerequisites.
4) Min 3.0 GPA.
5) ART 1204, ART 1404, and ART 1604.
6) Art and Art History major.
7) Written statement of intent.

Industrial Design- major

2) Min 2.0 GPA overall. Applicants are considered on a competitive GPA and space available basis.
3)  Min 2.5 in all ACIS, ECON, and BIT lower division courses.
Spring 2012
Business Information Technology 1) CS 1054 or CS 1705 in addition to courses and requirements listed above for Business majors.
2) One complete semester in ACIS, ECON, FIN, MGT, or MKTG if previously transferred into these majors.
3) Applicants are considered on a competitive GPA and space available basis.

 

Spring 2012
Business Minor

1) Math 1525-26 required

2) Minimum of 2.0 overall with completion of at least 24 Virginia Tech hours

3) Minimum of C- in any ACIS, BIT, ECON, FIN, MGT, or MKTG courses attempted.
Spring 2012
Engineering General Engineering

1) Min 2.0 GPA overall

2) Min C- or better in ENGE 1024

3) Credit for MATH 1205, MATH 1114, CHEM 1035-1045, ENGL 1105, and ENGE 1024

1) Completion of all enrollment requirements for General Engineering (see above)

2) Credit for MATH 1205, 1206, 1114, 1224; CHEM 1035,1045; ENGL 1105, 1106; PHYS 2305.

3) Min grade of C- or better in ENGE 1024 and ENGE 1104/1114 as required by degree program.

4) Min 2.0 GPA overall

 

Spring 2012
Chemical Engineering

1) All of the above criteria for General Engineering and All other Engineering Majors plus

2) Successful completion of CHEM 1036 and 1046

Computer Science
